Nice challenge to share with others. It’s no a challenge over herer because we don’t have a TV either.
I think that if I had a TV I’d probably won’t be able to unplug it for 1 week…not sure, but I prefer not to have one so I don’t have to fight against it. Anywaty, I don’t miss having a TV when I’m at home.
I’ve heard that kids that don’t watch TV at home tend to become passionate about it when they visit other houses. I have no problem my 3yo watching TV when we’re outside but he doesn’t show interest in sitting and watching (sounds boring, right?). At grandma’s he likes the “turn on” thing, but once the TV is on he doesn’t care about it/leave the room, etc.
I wonder how his attitude towards TV will be in a couple of years…

I am happy to join you, but must confess it is not a challenge. I haven’t had a tv since i left my parents house at 18. My 5 and 7 year olds get tv at Grandma’s but it’s just so much easier to not hear them whine for it all the time!

I won’t be joining in But, we have cut back the TV viewing time in our home considerably in the past few weeks. It feels good to limit it like we have.

My kids and husband could easily do it, but I’m not sure about me. I keep the TV on as background noise…a habit I’ve always had.

Plus, new episodes of Desperate Housewives just came back. Come on, Carrie!
