Work at Home Wednesday: Cookbooks and Recipe Sites

For work at home Wednesday, I wanted to talk about a hot moneymaking idea for moms who are into food and cooking:

Launching your own recipe site or cookbook

As I mentioned last week, some of my favorite blogs are about food – and specifically, traditional nutrition. Which brings me to my second point. Your recipe site or cookbook should embrace a tight niche.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.

Why is launching a recipe site or creating a cookbook a great way to make money online?

Do you know anyone who doesn’t eat? :-)

We all love to eat, and we all use recipes.

If you’re a talented cook (or not – you don’t have to be an expert to blog, you can be like me and connect people with the experts) or if creating menu plans curls your toes or whatever, this might be an idea for you.

Create a Cookbook Empire

I have a recipe site, and I can tell you from experience that the subscribers to the site has grown faster than any site I’ve ever launched. My friend Tiffany Washko wrote on her blog that launching her raw foods for kids recipe ebook was a great decision to create a new income stream in her business.

Here is another ebook you will want to check out, called Start a Recipe Blog for Fun and Profit. I reviewed this one in more detail here: how to make money – start a recipe blog.

Let me know if you have any questions about this or any other way to make money online, I’ll be happy to answer them here on Wahm Wednesdays.
