How To Make Rice Milk

If you’re vegan or have sensitivities to dairy products, you probably have come across Rice Dream at the supermarket. Have you wanted to know how to make your own rice milk at home? Keep in mind that compared to cow’s milk, rice milk has more carbohydrates, but fails as a proper source of calcium and protein.

Rice milk at the grocery store has been fortified with minerals and vitamins, such as iron, calcium, vitamin B12, and vitamin B3. Commercial brands also offer various flavors, such as chocolate or vanilla. Here is a recipe to make an unflavored rice milk. 

How To Make Rice Milk


2/3 cup of hot rice
3 cups of hot water
1/3 cup of cashews
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of honey


1) Simply place all of the ingredients in a blender. Mix well.

2) Chill before serving.
