Natural Moms Podcast #94
August 18, 2008
This week I am joined by Jodi Selander of Placenta Benefits.
She is talking about how some moms are choosing to encapsulate and ingest their placentas. Jodi is sharing the benefits of this practice, including an easier transition into new motherhood, less postpartum depression, increased milk supply and a general improved sense of wellbeing during the postnatal period.

Got something to say?

I was able to benefit from Jodi’s expertise here in Vegas for my postpartum. No matter how odd anyone thought it was, I wanted to do everything possible to prevent PPD naturally in the hopes of never having to resort to medication. I experienced virtually zero episodes of baby blues after the birth of my daughter while taking placenta capsules. I have heard countless amazing testimonials for this practice. I highly recommend anyone considering it truly gives it a shot. No one even has to know!

Just wanted to let you know your intro and exit make you sound like a chipmunk. lol The rest of the audio was fine though.
I encapsulate for women around here. Jodi guided me through the process a couple of years ago. Thanks Jodi!!!! Mom’s here in Moncton, NB Canada are having a great post-partum period. Maybe a weepy moment here and there, but certainly no days of crying or “baby blues” as they say.
My energy was great, bleeding was reduced, a rosy color in my cheeks and I continue to take it when I feel low and just before my period starts (my period has gone from a solid 5 days of bleeding to less than 3). I highly recommend this for all new mom’s!
