RIDDING OUR LIVES OF CHRONIC DISEASE; INCLUDING AUTISM AND MENTAL ILLNESS

Beyond Natural Cures-Naturopathic Psychotherapy by Dr. Aurore Adamkiewicz, one of the first books to effectively address healing mental illness naturally is now available.

Healthcare is a painful topic of discussion these days but Dr. Adamkiewicz author of the book “Beyond Natural Cures” doesn’t see it that way. She sees the healthcare debate as an opportunity to explore the importance of healing chronic disorders and not just covering them up with expensive pharmaceutical drugs.

When asked about her vision for health in the United States she says,

“For those of us in the natural health community, there most certainly is a “war on drugs” in the broadest sense. I compare this time in American history to the revolutionary era in France, when Napoleon came in and overthrew the stagnant political powers that be. While Napoleon introduced another set of problems for France and Europe, we should not over look the triumph he made by liberating the masses from “big business.” The United States is a young country and in many ways we are still learning and winning our independence, healthcare is not separate from that but innately connected-this is the very premise of my book.”

Living a natural lifestyle and yet remaining addicted to both illegal and legal drugs such as anti-depressants to handle mental illness is just one of the important subjects that she tackles in her book Beyond Natural Cures.

Autism, fungal infections and diabetes are also addressed in this easily readable and eye opening literary work which is quick to change how Americans, even healthy Americans view their lives and health.

“I am not afraid to be honest about my own life and health and this is what makes my book different from other natural health books. Reading more like a memoire rather than a manual; the story of my own son’s recovery from autism, my personal story about working in oncology and pediatrics and the heartbreaking story of my friend who died in a family murder-suicide as a result of pharmaceutical drugs are the very cornerstones of my book and life work,” says Dr. Adamkiewicz.

Besides taking on some of the most difficult and unmentionable problems of our time, she also brings the reader on a new journey of interesting and economical healing modalities that have been up until now, only marginally explored. Color, sound, music and orgone therapy are brought to the forefront as cost effective and lasting modes of healing.

Dr. Adamkiewicz also introduces us to the concept of only using natural supplements as a catalyst for healing, if needed, but not for chronic use. She notes that the American obsession for expensive vitamins and supplements is not unlike the obsession for pharmaceuticals and that curing an illness should be a worthy goal in any health endeavor.

By creating her own form of yoga, an advanced color therapy machine and a music therapy program for children she has truly harnessed a unique and effective healing modality as the result of years of research and dedication to healing. Dr. Mary Light founder of the Naturopathic School of Ann Arbor has added Beyond Natural Cures as a text book and describes it as an important work that gives a context for going towards natural healing by including all holistic aspects such as: emotional, physical and spiritual. Beyond Natural Cures can be purchased at beyondnaturalmedicine.com, lulu.com, amazon.com and Crazy Wisdom bookstore, Ann Arbor.
