Our faith gives a centering to our children. We are able to establish a lasting and firm foundation that will never crumble or shift for our children. This same faith offers to me, as a mother, strength from which to draw from when I have none of my own. When my spirit is empty from all the tasks that drain me, I am able to draw from that same strength. I think two of the many things that I am able to use in our daily lives to help nurture our children to a life of contentment and fruitfulness is accountability and forgiveness. Another is self-discipline...the list is endless! I have a funny little acronym I've came up with for our children: STAK- Stop...Think...Act with Kindness. It took a few days of saying "remember to STAK" and now our 4 year old will now say "Look, Mommy, I remembered to STAK!"

I was never as good a mother as I've been since I became a child of God. The more I learn in my relationship with my heavenly Father, the more I understand how to raise my children.

How can you raise kids WITHOUT a firm belief in God??

They know they always have their heavenly father to take care of them and someone they can go to for anything, anytime. They'll be raised with standards, discipline and grace. HOW do people make it in this world today without faith? Raising children spiritually gives them a hope for the future. Instead of thinking as some in the world do today, that the earth is going to be destroyed , they know that god promises after he caused the flood that he wouldn't destroy the world again only the badness. Some children today have a "devil may care" Live now for tomorrow you will die" attitude, which effects their eveyrday life.
There is no question in the world that can't be in the bible. it's the original, "how to" book.
