Review: Ok so I had to admit that I’m getting older and can’t do the things I used to do when I was a spry know it all. Just because I’m admitting I’m getting older doesn’t mean I have to give up on my fitness and my health. This book has shown me that I don’t have to pull up my easy chair and do nothing but knit a blanket and watch Jeopardy.
The self-administered tests that are included in this book are there to help you know what you can or can’t do physically. These tests allow you to judge what will work and what won’t. No two people are alike and the older we get the more we realize that. With this book you get to decide what will work for you personally.
According to this book there are five areas that we old fogies need to concentrate on. They are balance, strength, endurance, flexibility and posture. These areas are of great importance to our overall health. Being able to work on these areas at levels of physical exercise that is right for our individual situation is also of great importance.
This book includes exercises that you can do. You can work any or all of these exercises the way you need to. Slow or fast doesn’t matter, as long as you are working at your own pace. This helps you to stay physically fit without endangering those joints, bones and muscles including your heart.
