Review: When I think about eating healthy the first thing that goes through my mind is “Well there goes all the good food I enjoy.” After checking out this book I found out that isn’t necessarily true. You can eat healthy and still enjoy the process of eating if you know the facts and how to go about it.
The author explains things such as fats, carbohydrates and proteins in ways you can understand and learn from. He seems very well informed and feels it is necessary to inform other people of his findings. Vitamins, minerals and fiber are also part of the teaching in this book. These are very important parts of eating healthy.
This book is packed with ways to eat healthy. Learning how to read product labels, how to shop for the right foods and how to prepare foods are all a part of this book as well. It’s easy to read a book that tells you why this is important or that is important, but having the knowledge to go one step further is more important. It helps to encourage you to get on the right tract and stay there.
This book includes many recipes that are easy to prepare and taste good too. For me that is always a plus. I can read the information but when I try to incorporate that into my cooking something always goes wrong. Having the guidelines of this book has made a big difference in my sticking to the right ways to eat.
