Positives:

EOS is a line of environmentally-friendly shaving creams that are made from natural products that are never tested on animals. The bottle of EOS shaving cream I received is in the scent “Pomegranate Raspberry”. As soon as I pumped a little of this cream onto the palm of my hand I could smell its enriching aroma. It really is a delicious scent that reminds me of putting on luxurious raspberry body butter after a nice shower.

The really cool thing about EOS is that you can shave your legs wet or dry with this product because of their claim that it is “very moisturizing” which I will get to later. I decided to use the EOS on one dry leg and one with water splashed on it prior to the cream. What I was afraid of the dry leg is that the cream would be too thick and not distribute or spread on easily to the skin. Fortunately it is a light enough shave cream with the texture of a lotion that it does go on smooth.

What I found out about shaving both with the wet and dry options is that it’s exactly the same and it does leave my skin soft. However, it doesn’t live up to the ultra-moisturizing benefits I expected it to.

Drawbacks:

The thing I disliked the most about EOS is that the cream causes the razor to get extremely “clogged”. When I tried rinsing the blades, the cream would just not get out. I had to vigorously tap my razor to get it clean between each shave of the next area on my skin. It was an annoying enough feature that I would not buy this product.

Another thing I could see as a possible drawback is the fact that you really have to use a lot of the product on each leg. With a shaving gel, a couple pumps of the gel will cover the entire leg because it expands. Not with EOS. I pumped and pumped and pumped the cream just to cover the skin. I can imagine this bottle running out pretty fast, compared to a shaving gel. I actually wouldn’t know since I stopped using it after a couple times as I found it too difficult to work with.

Conclusion:

Although I did receive this bottle of shave cream as a gift and it is a natural, eco-friendly product, it is not something I imagine purchasing in the future. It’s too bad that the cream is so hard to get out of the blades or else I’d really enjoy using it as it smells so delicious and leaves my legs slightly smoother than if I used shaving gel instead.
