Tom’s Natural Whole Care toothpaste contains xylitol, which actually strengthens teeth (and if taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding strengthens the baby’s teeth), fluoride, silica, and zinc citrate, which are all natural, beneficial ingredients.
What do you like about the product?: I feel good about supporting the Tom’s of Maine company because they use natural ingredients, recycled packaging, and 10% of all of their profits go back to the community! They also use no animal products, don’t test on animals, and don’t use any artificial sweeteners (so common in most toothpaste), colors, flavors, or preservatives.
I love the taste; in all commercially produced toothpaste (and even in some natural toothpaste) they use sweeteners of some type- which taste awful and leave sugar residue on your teeth!! The taste of this product is clean and refreshing without being sweet.
What do you dislike about it (if applicable)?: I buy my toothpaste at Grocery Outlet (I highly recommend this store to anyone!!!) and it is very reasonable- $2.00. However, if you have to buy it at Whole Foods, PCC, or any other natural market, the cost is higher than commercial brands (between $4 and 5$). That might deter me if it was available only at this price.
