5 years ago today my Sadie was born.

Hers was my easiest birth.

Quick too.

(The midwife almost didn’t make it.)

She is spunk personified.

She has more personality in her pinky finger than most people have in their whole body.

There have been proposals of marriage.

Indeed.

She is inquisitive and curious.

And totally fearless.

She’s always singing.

She composes songs and accompanies herself on the piano or guitar.

(Not many people have a Beatles song with their name in it.)

A shameless flirt.

And not the least bit modest.

(When you got it, flaunt it!)

Her name is Hebrew for “Princess”.

She has stolen my heart utterly.

    Happy Birthday. She is a doll! I love kids with their own personality, I always think they should be able to own it.

    I remember when you were going to have her too!
