The Cure for Post Feast Bloat

Now that the holiday festivities (with associated eating!) are over, are your pants feeling a little snug?

It’s understandable. The extra sugar, fat and salt in the abundance of food typical of the season can do a number on your waistline, fast.

I’m not “into” dieting and I’m certainly never going to use that word here. (Diet is a four letter word that begins with DIE. LOL!)

At the same time, I wanted to share with you what I do when I’m feeling a little bloated.

Sometimes when my kids go to their Dads, I indulge in a one or two day long vegetable and fruit juice fast. I don’t do regular fasting because it doesn’t agree with my body. But I LOVE to do these juice fasts. What I typically do is “eat” as much as I want of fresh fruit and veggie smoothies, and raw fruits, veggies and salads.

At the end of just 24 hours sometimes my pants are a little loose. It’s not that I’ve lost a ton of weight or anything, but a couple of things are going on.

First, the fiber and water content of fruits and veggies fill you up – so you consume fewer calories.

Also, the natural diuretic effect of vegetables and fruits help you “go”

And not to be gross, but “going” both #1 and #2 tend to make you look thinner, and your tummy flatter.

I’m not one to go ’round hungry. I don’t believe in that. But detoxing for a day or two with healthy, raw foods can jumpstart your healthy goals for the year and make you feel great – light, and energetic.

Here are a couple things that will help.

For the next WEEK only (that’s until next Friday, January 9th) I’m offering my two “un” cookbooks, my Salads and Smoothies cookbooks – for the price of one.

For a measly $8, you get BOTH. They’re both chock full of recipes you can use right away to get your fruit and veggies on, and undo some of the effects of the overindulging of the season.

All you have to do is Paypal me directly at clauth@gmail.com and I’ll email them both right to you!

I’ll even throw in an unannounced extra goodie that will remain anonymous.

You can read more about these ebooks here:

So again, the instructions are to send the $8 in Paypal cash to clauth@gmail.com and I’ll send them right over.

P.S. Here’s what one satisfied customer had to say:

“We tried the No Need for Pancakes smoothie – he loved it!
I had to swap the almond butter for peanut butter,
but he still downed it!

I even have hubby drinking the smoothies!
He works at night so he leaves the house around 1am.
Because it is a crazy schedule, he doesn’t eat right.
So I put all the ingredients (minus frozen) in the blender
and leave it in the fridge. When he’s about to leave the house,
he grabs the blender, adds the remaining ingredients and
voila – breakfast on the go.”
