In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, I’m postingĀ links to some of my favorite articles I’ve written on the topic here, and hosting a giveaway.
Here are the articles:
- How to have a breastfeeding friendly baby shower
- How to deal with breastfeeding and yeast infection
- What’s it like nursing through a pregnancy and tandem nursing?
- I’m an advocate for breastfeeding, not nitpicking (Years ago I might not have hosted a giveaway for a bottle, but with age comes more open-mindedness about the different ways women raise their babies.)
- Doctors sometimes give bad mastitis advice
- And finally, an interview with breastfeeding and depression expert Kathleen Kendall-Tackett on overcoming postpartum depression naturally
Now for the giveaway!

The best advice for breast feeding was from my doctor at my very first prenatal visit. She told me, the sooner you begin reading up on how to breast feed the more successful you will be. Oh was that the truth! Thanks for the giveaway!
The best advice I received was to rub a small amount of breast milk on your nipples after feeding to help prevent dryness and cracking.
