Who didn’t love riding a bike as a kid? Suddenly you had wheels! Freedom! And that feeling of the wind blowing through your hair. It was thrilling. I’ve been longing for that feeling lately. Then I stumbled upon this neat article about the health benefits of bicyling. Just in time for May, National Bike Month.

Do you ride? I’m thinking of going out and buying a bicycle. My glutes and thighs could use some beefing up. I think my oldest kids would love seeing Mom ride around with them on a bike. I would need one with a good baby seat in the back. Any suggestions?

I don’t know if you have a Costco in your area but you might check them out if you do.. I saw a beautiful bright orange bike that looked like a replica of a bike I had when I was young (and it was old then). It even had the banana shaped seat!

I would stay away from the bikes that have handlebars that curve downward. Those are a killer on the back.

It’s funny your talking about bikes because my husband ,and I were talking about favorite things from our childhood and mine was riding my bike. Your right bicycling is about freedom. I need a bike with the baby seat too! I also want a pair of skates.

Hope you get your bike and happy riding to you!

Thanks for the tip Tiffany, I’ll look into that. Although my membership is at BJs, I’ll see if they have any bikes.

Got something to say?
