On Being Different: What do you tell your kids?

A reader wrote in with her challenge.

“How do I explain to my children why we don’t eat certain things and live differently than some of their friends?”

Hmm… great question.

So expert panel, how do you handle this? How do you explain to your kids your reasons for being different?
